Gender Equality Budget Statement
The pursuit of a gender-equal society is central to the wellbeing and economic advancement of all people across New South Wales. The Gender Equality Budget Statement highlights the relationship between gender equality and economic and social outcomes, and the investments made by the NSW Government to address key challenges and opportunities in these areas.

Overview: Our plan for New South Wales
Take a top-level view of the 2024–25 Budget in the Overview. This Budget includes $13.4 billion to upgrade hospitals across the State and building housing for key health workers; $8.9 billion to build and upgrade public schools; $5.1 billion to build 8,400 social homes (including priority homes for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence); and $35.6 billion to build public transport across the State, including three new metro lines.

Regional and rural New South Wales are home to more than one-third of the State’s population – as well as much of the State’s critical industries and infrastructure. Our plan for Regional New South Wales outlines the Government’s approach to supporting and building our regional and rural communities.

Western Sydney is the fastest-growing and most diverse area of New South Wales. It’s also the third-largest economy in Australia, after the Sydney and Melbourne CBDs. Our plan for Western Sydney outlines the Government’s approach to supporting the growing number of people and businesses who call Western Sydney home.
Performance and Wellbeing - Consultation Paper
The Performance and Wellbeing Framework is a new, clear set of measures that will track the NSW Government’s progress on much-needed reforms, including in housing, energy, education, and healthcare. The indicators in the Performance and Wellbeing Consultation Paper will serve as a beginning to develop and refine the Framework.
